One year ago

We landed at Bole International Airport, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia with only our wits and each other, 6 bags, and the trust that a driver named Alazar would be waiting beyond the throng of people just beyond baggage claim--and, the heart-pull of a little girl who lay waiting for us in her crib, somewhere in this city we found ourselves.

What a difference a year makes and what a grand reason to celebrate! From the day we first saw Sophia's referral picture we were all in love so it should not be surprising that she has continued to dazzle and charm us throughout the past year. It's been thrilling and touching to watch our daughters bond so quickly and so deeply. We can all feel extra blessed and thankful this holiday to have the love of a sweet little Sophia in our family!
Happy Family-versary to the three of you!!! We love you guys!

Yes, Chris and I were talking last night that at this time last year we were in Addis. I can't beleive a year has already passed by - they change so quickly don't they! We are having Noah's favorite meal, tacos, tonight for his Gotcha day celebration and cupcakes with the Ethiopian flag on them. I will try to post some pics on our blog...Hope you all are doing good :) Robin Wyatt
